Kristina Dam Studio AW19
Mastering the monochromatic palette enables us to create timeless and enduring designs. Distinct and beautiful – simplicity with an attitude - Kristina Dam
Of all the new collections coming out, I am always looking forward to the one of Kristina Dam Studio. Kristina Dam Studio defines sculptural minimalism. The designs have a distinctive Scandinavian and architectural expression, which are easily recognized by their clean lines and beautiful materials.
Kristina Dam Studio is based in Copenhagen and founded by architect and graphic designer Kristina Dam. I’m a huge admirer of her work and the studio´s press images always look amazing. In the last few weeks she has shared some images on social media and I fell again for her new and renewed sculptures, accessories and furniture.
The Japanese stool is part of the new collection. Bringing together Nordic functionality and Japanese simplicity, the Japanese stools are stylish and gorgeous, which definitely makes an eye-catching statement in any modern home.
Inspired by the beauty of conic pillars, Column Coat Rack (made of solid oak) is just as functional as it is sculptural. With 4 hooks and a small size it fits most places and will add beauty in the hallway, kitchen, bathroom – or any other room as a wall decoration.
The Stack Storage Box was also presented at the new collection. These beautiful boxes have a minimalistic design and are made of solid oak and walnut. They can be used as a spacious mobile storage unit in your bedroom, living room or office or to display your favourite accessories.
The design of the new Easel mirror is sleek and elegant and inspired by the traditional easels used by painters. A simple mirror with an artistic, sculptural look don’t you think so? At the homepage of Kristina Dam you will find more new and renewed designs and beautiful accessories as the Cupola Sculpture which is one of my favorites of the collection. - Elvera -
