“The Vipp451 chair links the past with the future. The combination of genuine materials and industrial refinement state a clear reference to our design tradition and line of existing products. By introducing tones, textures and upholsteries we open new doors, and take another step into the furniture category.” - Morten Bo Jensen, Chief Designer at Vipp

Last December we were very excited (see here) when we heard the news that Danish brand Vipp marks its 80 years anniversary, and manifests its big move into the furniture category where sofas, chairs, coffee tables, lounge chairs, and rugs enter the Vipp collection during the first half of 2019.

And now, a few months later, for the first time in the Danish brand’s history, Vipp unveils a chair. Marking a serious step into the furniture category, The Vipp chair is a carefully considered combination of powder-coated aluminium and soft fabrics.

In recent years, the company's venture into architecture projects like the Vipp Hotel has prompted Vipp’s desire to develop a line furniture to inhabit these spaces. The 451 chair melts the industrial heritage of the company with the softer interior universe that Vipp is building these years. The chair comes with three different types of upholsteries - from textured fabrics to aniline leather. The upholstery is divided with a fine stitching pattern for a comfortable seating experience and will be available in selected stores from april 2019 -Elvera -
